GI Trunking — galvanised steel cable trunking, Dubai and UAE supply

GI trunking is galvanised steel containment for cable routes that need mechanical protection, earthing continuity and fire performance beyond what PVC can offer. It is the standard choice on building services risers, plant rooms and exposed routes where the containment itself is part of the installation.

• 1 mm — 50 x 50, 75 x 75, 100 x 50, 100 x 100, 100 x 150, 150 x 50, 150 x 100, 200 x 50, 200 x 100
• 1.5 mm — 225 x 50, 225 x 100, 300 x 50, 300 x 100
• 2 mm — 300 x 50, 300 x 100, 400 x 50, 400 x 100, 500 x 50, 500 x 100

Specifying GI trunking

• Gauge follows span and load. 1 mm suits short supported runs, 1.5 mm is the general purpose choice, 2 mm is for long spans and heavy cable loads.
• Size to the cable bundle with spare capacity — around 40 percent free cross section is the usual working figure.
• Trunking forms part of the earth path, so link sections with earth continuity straps at every joint.
• Bends, tees, risers and covers are made to suit the run. Send us the route and we will work out the fittings.
