Heat shrink sleeves are flexible polymer tubes that shrink tightly around cables, busbars, terminals and connectors when heated, forming a durable, moisture-tight electrical insulation. GoSwitchgear stocks the KableKonnect / RRE rubber-polyolefin range from Ø2 mm to Ø150 mm in seven standard colours, rated up to 600 V (HD-2 series) and 3.3 kV (RRE rubber series), all with a 2:1 shrink ratio, halogen-free, flame-retardant and RoHS-compliant.

How to choose the right size
The sleeve should shrink to a snugly smaller size than the cable, busbar or terminal you are covering. A 2:1 ratio means the sleeve shrinks to half its expanded diameter — so pick a size whose after-shrinking ID is slightly less than the outside diameter of the object being insulated.
