What is a Distribution Block?
A distribution block (also called a power distribution block or feed splitter) is a DIN-rail mounted terminal device that lets you feed one incoming supply into several outgoing circuits from a single connection point. Instead of daisy-chaining feed-through terminals or adding extra jumper links, a distribution block lands one incoming cable and breaks it out to multiple downstream connections in one compact unit.
They are commonly used inside control panels and distribution boards wherever a single phase, neutral, or DC supply needs to be shared across several outgoing circuits — for example, feeding multiple MCBs, control relays, or auxiliary devices from one incoming line. Distribution blocks typically use screw-clamp connection technology and are available in different way configurations (such as 1×2, 1×4, and 1×8) to match the number of outgoing circuits required.
Using a distribution block keeps panel wiring compact and organized, reduces the number of jumper links needed, and makes it easier to isolate or trace a circuit during maintenance.
GoSwitchgear stocks Elmex distribution blocks (DBK series) in Dubai, with delivery across the UAE, KSA, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. Always confirm the number of ways and current rating you need against the product datasheet before ordering.
